The idea for the Brighton Bandstand performance networking website was originally conceived the early part of 2007 and the Brighton Bandstand Company was formed in September 2007.
For the last year and a half we have been developing and creating a performing arts web portal with the intent of making it a concise information centre for all aspects of performance and music in Brighton, Hove and its surrounding area and we are now soon to launch with a series of radio adverts.
We are a performance orientated company dedicated to helping the marketing and the re-launching of the Brighton Bandstand in the spirit of which it was originally intended and help Brighton & Hove Council filter out the acts good enough of perform on the Brighton Bandstand.
Whilst researching this project, we have been documenting and entering all local performance information into our database and we have been designing the website to specifically suit the needs of Brighton & Hove and so far we have not found anything quite as concise or as user friendly on the web as what we have to offer.
This website is designed for performers of all types which include musicians, dancers, singers, actors, bands, theatre groups, orchestras, brass bands, DJs, poets, magicians and even Clowns!
In our Performer Corner section we have a full Directory of performance related services which include Shops, tuition, academies, studios, rehearsal rooms, tuning & repair, etc and full listings of all theatre groups, brass bands and orchestras in the Brighton & Hove area.
The Venue section contains concise information of each and every venue in the Brighton & Hove area, whether it is a Theatre, Music Bar, Club, Concert hall, Small Event Halls and Open Air Venues.
Also in our Event Guide you can find full listings for live music, comedy, theatre and poetry etc.

In our friendly searchable Performer Profiles all locally performing artists are able to add their skill sets to our database as individuals and also create their own Act and Group Profiles with genres and styles. Videos, Biographies and Music etc can also be added to these profiles which also includes a personal state of the art gig, show and event management system for their acts.
The purpose of forming the Brighton Bandstand Company was to start a new media and networking website with broadcasting capabilities and ultimately raise capital from shareholders to invest in the Birdcage Coffee Bar which will also donate back to the community 10% of all profit and give consesstions and discounts to perfomers involved in non profit or charitable events on the Bandstand itself.
As part of the business plan it was vital to secure relevent domain names that the property will be foundly known as.
